Pragya Cultural Centre was registered on 16th February, 2001 in Kolkata. We focus on cultural activities such as drama, dance, rhythm, and social initiatives across tribal villages and schools. We conducted workshops on Raebenshe Folk Movement, Tribal Rhythm, Kalari Pattyu, Puppet Theatre, Children Theatre, Folk Songs & Dance, Chhau, Bratachari, Sambalpuri Dance, Natya Shastra, Bene Putul, Voice Preparation, and Actor Training. On 28th April, 2024, we organized a seminar on “Santhal Hool and We the Indigenous People” at BASA Mancha, Boynala, South 24 Parganas. We continued projects at IIMC, Challapara and Kheadaha High School, producing theatrical works with children. Visits to Ranchi TRI Museum and EZCC Kolkata, special classes for CCRT scholarship holders, and performances at Asiatic Society, Kolkata Book Fair, Ganga Sagar Mela, and Sharul Festival. We work to protect vulnerable tribal children under WB Child Rights Commission guidance. Pragya is entitled to tax benefits under Section 80G and registered with MCA for CSR support.Pragya Cultural Centre
